On New Years day, 1980, my mom decided to give birth to me after dancing the night away with my dad. I was born in Allahabad, a small city in India. I had the good fortune to travel the country as my dad was in the Army. I grew up pretty much all over the place. We were in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 2 and half years as my dad got his Masters in Computers. Hey, whose autobiography is this, anyway? And then we moved back to Bombay, or Mumbai for the P.C. After 10 years of cutting classes at school, I realized that studying didn't really excite me as much as having a good time. Odd.

That's when I decided to enroll in art school. I figured that spending 8 hrs a day pretending to think and change the world through art couldn't be all bad. I walked into college and found myself in the middle of a group of pimply, insecure kids who had no idea what they wanted from their future. I knew I had made the right decision. It was like coming home, these were my people.

A 3 month stint in a very famous advertising agency (I'm not naming any names) later, I landed up in San Francisco at the Academy of Art college. I discovered that I wanted to be a copywriter, who knew? This inspired decision came at the end of the semester when I realized I could not spend endless hours in front of a computer screen. I think my love of writing also had a little to do with it. And so began life as a copywriter. So, that's my story but enough about me, let's talk about you. How are you today?
